Frequently Asked Questions

If you don’t find an answer for your question here, feel free to send it via the Contact Form, that way I can add it here.

You have to be at least 18 to get tattooed by me and have a valid form of ID.

The truth is that everyone’s pain map and tolerance is different so there won’t be a universal answer but there are common places that hurt less than most. Some good examples are upper arm, outer forearm, side calf, and some parts of the thigh.

Tattoo ink is made up of a combination of various ingredients so the possibility of allergies is no surprise.

The most common allergic reaction is to red ink due to the fact that some inks contain certain metallic particles. If you are allergic to costume jewelry or anything metal that isn’t titanium, gold or silver then it’s likely you are allergic to red ink.

That being said, for most inks it is impossible to know if you’re allergic until you get a tattoo. But don’t be too scared, allergic reactions tend to have manageable reactions and in most cases if treated correctly will go away once the tattoo heals.

The answer depends on what you’re sick with and what medication you’re taking. Some cold and flu medicines contain NSAIDs which cause blood thinning and can lead to excessive bleeding during a session.

Antibiotics don’t directly affect tattoos but taking treatment for an active infection means your immune system is compromised and might make you more sensitive during your session or slow down the healing process.

Menstruation means lower estrogen which can lower your pain tolerance and make the session less comfortable.

When in doubt, ask your artist!

Yes, you can but it is greatly appreciated if you let me know you will be doing so and if you have not bought any yet my recommendation is J-Pro Numbing Cream which can be found on amazon.
